With its sleek look and glass-free ease, this trend has become a new staple in girl’s nights and get-togethers. We made it, and here’s what we thought…

How This Open Can Cocktail Trend Went Viral on Tiktok

TikTok has always been an everlasting cycle of rising trends and the Open Can Cocktail is a new summer addition! Influencers and daily users alike are sharing their recipes and twists on the trend. The Open-Can-Cocktail-ing started earlier this summer and instantly began gaining traction, by July, everyone was running to buy the fancy can opener. The hashtag #OpenCanCocktail has been all over our for you pages and we were dying to give it a try.


We Tried It, Here’s What We Thought!

We made a Spicy Pineapple Margarita, using the Mingle Key Lime Margarita. Not only was it a delicious mocktail, but a fun process, too! Save your glassware for another day and experiment with mixing and mingling your favorite ingredients. We hope this trend sticks around and we can’t wait to see everyone’s creative twists.

Mingle Mocktails’s Open Can Mocktail Recipe

Ready to try an Open Can Cocktail for yourself? Here’s a fabulous recipe for a Spicy Key Lime Margarita! Spoiler alert, we tried it, it was delicious!


Spicy Pineapple Key Lime Margarita

   Ingredients:

  • 1 Mingle Key Lime Margarita 
  • 3 Pineapple Chunks
  • 1-2 Jalepeño Slices
  • 1 tsp Fresh Lime Juice 
  • 1 tsp Tajin 
  • Want To Mix? Add 1 oz of Your Favorite Tequila!

   Instructions:

  1. Remove the lid of your Mingle Margarita can and pour into separate cup
  2. Muddle fresh lime juice, jalepeño and pineapple slices 
  3. Add ice and Mingle Margarita on top of muddled ingredients and stir
  4. Rim can with Tajin 
  5. Pour in your Spicy Pineapple Margarita
  6. Garnish with lime wheel and enjoy!
